The Strand Arcade

6dc joined forces with the historic and prestigious property The Strand Arcade in February 2011 when engaged to manage public relations, digital and event management. Under the IPOH Management property portfolio, The Strand Arcade’s aim was to promote the center as the ‘home of Australian fashion’, as well as strategically engage consumers with a range of special events and increase digital and social media participation. 6dc’s objectives included, cementing the Strand Arcade as THE place to find Australian designer fashion and unique specialty stores, while leveraging the personal experience aspect of shopping at a location that offers a quality retail mix.

Highlights have included the premium consumer event ‘An Evening With Our Designers’, the ‘Designer Luncheon Series’ and the ‘ Supper Club’ dinner charity event where 6dc engaged and partnered with Camp Quality for a unique dining event. All resulted in excellent media coverage and solid sales results for the retailers.  6dc have been able to far exceed PR expectations generating over $3.2 million in PR value for the year up to the close of 2011.

From February to December 2011, 6dc also managed the social media campaigns for the Strand Arcade and successfully increased the Facebook likes from 500 to well over 1,500 people, as well as creating exciting and relevant EDM content for the Strand Society e-newsletter whose database exceeds 20 000 members.

6dc have been retained in 2012 as the PR Agency for the Strand Arcade.
