Chambord Shine Awards
French luxury liqueur embraces emerging Australian designers
6dc co-created the Chambord® Shine Awards™ concept in 2008 to engage fashion forward consumers, drive trial and elevate the profile of Chambord in the market place. 6dc commissioned high profile designers such as Kirrily Johnson, Ginger&Smart, Farage and personalities like Gracie Otto to be part of this emerging designer awards platform as well as securing partners Napoleon Perdis, AVEDA and L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
In 2008 & 2009 the winner received a double page spread in marie claire magazine. In 2010 the event was expanded to include consumer runway shows in NSW, VIC & QLD and the winner had their design worn to Spring Racing Carnival, a showing at Sydney’s Strand Arcade and a show at LMFF in 2011.
6dc secured coverage exceeding $900 000 for the event in the first year, growing the coverage in 2009 by 30% and in 2010 securing over $2.4 million in coverage and significantly growing social media interaction. Sales of Chambord have more than doubled since the initiative began.
